Who to believe in the coaching world!
In a world of so called ‘business coaches’ and more recently ‘property guru’s it’s little wonder people don’t know where to look.
Genuine hard working people who genuinely want to grow their business and enhance their lives for them and their families are being lied to day in day out by these ‘so called experts’ – it’s f*cking painful to watch and even more painful to be involved in this industry at times.
This post is a modern day rebellion on the bulls*tters, the liars and the money grabbing coaches out there (I hope you they this!)
Most Tradespeople I speak with are working class people who have taken the plunge and somehow found the courage to go alone in business. They likely worked with someone for X amount of years and fancied building their own empire.
A few years into business and they are not quite earning as much as they thought and realising quickly that this is no walk in the park, there are zero spare hours and family time! forget it.
This is standard stuff and almost expected. They need help!
With social media algorithms the second they go searching or looking for help Zuckerberg and his pals knows about it and low and behold business coach after business coach is popping up on their screens promising that Lamborghini – And yes I am one of these on your screen (only I never promise the Lambo!)
What the vast majority of these ‘coaches’ are not grasping (or deciding to ignore) especially in the trade industry is that these people are desperate, they’ve worked in their chosen industry for 10-20 years and they are almost broken, their stressed and cashflow is already low (or they wouldn’t be looking) or worse still this is that persons dream, cashflow is ok and stress is manageable but they dream of one day owning an enterprise, a business that they are proud of – one that is going to catapult their lives to new levels and allow them to live the life they dream of.
Finance, Health, Family and Dreams are BIG things, they’re life changing aspects of some peoples lives yet these w****** are essentially ripping them off to sell a course.
Let’s look at property ‘guru’s for a second – Not even the chief of the bank of England knows what’s going to happen in the property market right now.
yet these clowns (and I won’t name names) are trying to convince people to part with £20-25,000 to jump on a property course so they can tell them to call around estate agents to source under market value homes, find ‘deals’ in a haystack, canvass properties and KNOCK doors of people selling their homes (wtf!!) and ‘flip’ houses or ‘convert’ into HMO – give me a break!!
ultimately they don’t have a CLUE what’s going to happen to the market yet they preach the same sh*t daily on our screens.
Business Coaches are no different and daily I see idiots trying to promise hard working individuals the dream with absolutely zero back up to suggest they know what they are talking about.
it’s lunacy yet again they charge people £20-£27,000 and one even has a package at £64,000!!!! – Again no names mentioned!
Now I ‘get’ business coaching, I have had three business coaches and still to this day have a business coach, I have a life coach, a fitness/nutrition coach, a financial advisor (and a wife who apparently knows more than all of them combined!) so I totally get and ‘buy into’ the need for a business coach, I done my research on every single one.
I also understand the need to charge highly for it, not only are ‘some’ coaches sharing 10-20 years of success and numerous hours of working with similar clients but IF the client is paying a pittance he or she is simply not going to commit to this – so that part I understand but trying to charge cash tight tradesmen and women £20-30k for a course is just ridiculous – unless it works, unless its 100% guaranteed to work it’s bonkers, it’s scaremongery, it’s opportunist and it’s taking advantage.
I have my own course (which is £5k+VAT btw) and does it guarantee success – NO because there is no guarantee with business coaching, it is ALL to do with the individual.
It’s on YOU however what I can tell you is my course is the exact framework I used in my own business to take it from a bunch of poorly designed leaflets with a picture I stole from some company online to well over £1m turnover with 35% nett profits year in year out which prompted an investment firm to come in and buy the company from me in a near £1m pound deal so yes the course works (to date it’s been 100% free for every person who has joined it with increased revenue, profits etc not to mention the multiple hours it takes of their working week) but again this is not guaranteed,
Enough about my course anyway……
I care deeply for tradespeople and I have been on this mission for 5-6 years now changing the lives of the people who decided to take action and who had the courage (which I know is not easy) to take a chance on me (and that’s what they all did) in the hope that I could turn it around for them….I ‘could’ share some results here but again I could be bullshitting you.
I could tell you how I’ve taken a tradesmen of 20 years and ten-folded his profits from £24k to £244k or how I took a 23 year old landscapers from £14k nett profits to £270k and many many more but lets face it – I could just be bullsh*tting you, after all it’s ME (Daren) writing this blog post……
I genuinely wish you the very best in your business and I would strongly strongly suggest you enlist in a course to get you there but please please please don’t fall for this bulls*t and most certainly do NOT be paying £20K+ for ANY coaching course may that be business, property, life, health or whatever because that’s merely opportunists with GREAT marketing and sales. people………
