The first place you want to start is your website. Word of Mouth and recommendations are fantastic but that level of lead generation will only ever make you a wage, it will only ever allow you to have one team and it is highly likely you will be IN that team meaning you are never gonna get off the tools!
Ensure your website is asking for the jobs you want (as above) ensure it is clean and easy to navigate and make sure it is the most professional in your area.

Chase and Chase for good reviews on your favoured platform (ideally google) and do NOT give up, if you request a review and the client doesn't leave one chase them again (people are busy)
Prospective clients will choose the company with 25 reviews over the one with 10 - Don't forget that!
Chase Chase Chase for reviews and if you have done work for a friend or family ask them, if you are subbied out by another contractor ask them too. Aim for a minimum of 25 reviews but the more the better.
