Why Some Business Coaching Companies All Start To Look The Same

I received an email recently from another business coaching company.

They were telling their mailing list that someone had apparently offered to buy their business.

Fair enough.

Good for them.

But it made me think about something very important.

Could someone buy TradeCoach?

Technically, someone could try.

But in reality, TradeCoach is probably unsellable.

And I am completely fine with that.

In fact, I actually like it that way.

Because TradeCoach is not a faceless coaching company. It is not a generic programme run by corporate coaches, spreadsheet experts, or people who have never actually built the kind of business they are teaching others to build.

TradeCoach is built around real experience.

My experience.

My mistakes.

My lessons.

My systems.

My story.

And that is exactly why it works.

TradeCoach Is Not A Corporate Coaching Machine

There are plenty of business coaching companies out there that look impressive from the outside.

They have polished funnels.

They have slick adverts.

They have big claims.

They have shiny onboarding systems.

But when you look closer, the actual coaching is often delivered by people who were not the person you bought into in the first place.

You might see an ex-tradesman on the advert.

You might hear the founder’s story on the webinar.

You might believe you are buying into their experience.

Then, once you join, you get passed to someone else.

A coach.

An account manager.

A delivery team.

A corporate-style operator with a spreadsheet and a script.

That might work in some industries.

But for trade business owners, I think it misses the point.

Because running a trade business is not theory.

It is not just numbers on a dashboard.

It is not just a neat little business model on a whiteboard.

It is messy.

It is stressful.

It is emotional.

It is real life.

Tradespeople Need Real-Life Coaching, Not Regurgitated Theory

If you run a trade business, you already know how hard it can be.

You are dealing with leads, quotes, staff, clients, suppliers, delays, cash flow, complaints, weather, vans, tools, materials, recruitment, job overruns and profit disappearing in front of your eyes.

You do not need someone reading from a script.

You need someone who understands what it actually feels like.

Someone who has priced jobs late at night.

Someone who has dealt with awkward clients.

Someone who has hired the wrong people.

Someone who has lost money on jobs that looked profitable on paper.

Someone who has been stuck on the tools while trying to grow a business at the same time.

Someone who has actually scaled a trade business, built systems, got off the tools, and created something valuable enough to sell.

That is the difference.

TradeCoach is not built from theory.

It is built from lived experience.

Why TradeCoach Is Different

I built a driveway business from scratch.

I started with nothing fancy.

No magic funding.

No corporate background.

No business degree.

Just graft, mistakes, pressure, learning, and the decision that I was not going to stay trapped forever.

Over time, I learned how to market properly, sell properly, price properly, recruit properly, manage jobs properly, build systems, understand profit and loss, and eventually get the business to a point where it could run without me being on the tools every day.

Then I sold it.

That journey is what TradeCoach is built on.

Not a borrowed framework.

Not a generic coaching model.

Not a corporate handbook.

Real lessons from a real trade business.

Why I Will Always Be Involved In TradeCoach

Yes, TradeCoach has support behind the scenes.

There are systems.

There are processes.

There is help with content, admin, tech, client support and delivery.

But the coaching, the message, the strategy, the direction and the standards come from me.

That will not change.

I would never let TradeCoach become a generic coaching machine where I appear in the marketing, then paying clients get handed over to people who have never actually built and scaled a trade business.

That might make the business easier to sell.

It might make it easier to package.

It might make it more attractive to investors.

But it would make it less real.

And I am not interested in that.

A Sellable Coaching Company Is Not Always A Better Coaching Company

When a business coaching company says it has been offered money to sell, many people might see that as impressive.

And maybe it is.

But it also tells you something.

It tells you the business can probably run without the key person.

It tells you the founder may not be central to the delivery.

It tells you the coaching may have been systemised to the point where almost anyone can deliver it.

That might be great if you are buying the company.

But is it great if you are a client?

That depends on what you are paying for.

If you are paying for generic business education, maybe it is fine.

But if you are a tradesperson looking for help from someone who has actually been where you are, then the person behind the coaching matters.

A lot.

TradeCoach Is Personal Because Your Business Is Personal

Your trade business is not just a business.

It is your life.

It affects your family.

It affects your health.

It affects your weekends.

It affects your bank balance.

It affects your relationship.

It affects your future.

So when you choose who to listen to, you need to know where that advice is coming from.

Has this person actually done it?

Have they built a team?

Have they got off the tools?

Have they sold jobs?

Have they dealt with job delays?

Have they handled staff issues?

Have they made painful mistakes?

Have they built a business that could eventually run without them?

Or are they just repeating something they learned inside a coaching company?

That is the question more tradespeople need to ask.

TradeCoach Is Built For Tradespeople Who Want Real Change

TradeCoach exists to help tradesmen and women build better businesses.

That means better pricing.

Better sales.

Better systems.

Better recruitment.

Better delivery.

Better profit.

Better client journeys.

Better control.

More freedom.

Less chaos.

The goal is not to make your business look good from the outside while you are still stressed, overworked and underpaid behind the scenes.

The goal is to build something that actually works.

A business that gives you more time, more profit and more control.

That takes real coaching.

It takes honesty.

It takes experience.

It takes someone willing to tell you the truth.

Not just someone reading from a workbook.

Why Being Unsellable Might Be The Best Thing About TradeCoach

TradeCoach may be unsellable because I am involved in every moving part.

But that is also what makes it valuable to the people who join.

You are not buying into a faceless system.

You are not joining a corporate coaching machine.

You are not getting passed around a team of people who have never lived the trade business life.

You are getting access to the lessons, systems and strategies that helped me go from starting with nothing, to building a trade business, getting off the tools, scaling it, and eventually selling it.

That is not generic.

That is not theory.

That is not regurgitated content.

That is real.

And in my opinion, real is exactly what this industry needs.

And know this about my business.

TradeCoach is not built to be sold off, polished up or passed over to a team of corporate coaches.

It is built to help tradespeople change their lives.

As long as my name is attached to it, I will stay involved.

Because the coaching matters.

The standards matter.

My clients future matters.

The lived experience matters.

And tradespeople deserve better than generic, regurgitated and repetitive advice from people who have never actually done what they are teaching.

That might make TradeCoach harder to sell.

But it makes it far better to join.
